The Millers six-game winning streak has come to an end with a 88-80 home loss to the Louisiana Knights. Despite the loss, Joseph Kone had a record setting day.
Joseph Kone set the Single-Game scoring record for the John Melvin University basketball program. Scoring 46 points on 13-20 shooting, hitting five 3's and going 15-18 from the free throw line.
Kone has been heating up in recent games, scoring 46, 28, 14, and 31 points in the Millers last four games. Kone's sharpshooting from beyond the arch has been leading the way, hitting 5, 4, 1, and 6 3's in this four-game stretch.
JMU returns to the court on Friday in Toccoa Falls, Georgia for the NSAC Midseason Showcase. The Millers will be facing off against Mid-Atlantic Christian (7th in NSAC), Blue Lights College, and Apprentice (2024 NSAC Champion).
