MUSGRAVES NAMED COACH OF THE YEAR, LEBLANC PITCHER OF THE YEAR, EIGHT ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS

Musgraves Named Coach of the Year, LeBlanc Pitcher of the Year, Eight All-Conference Selections

As the 2025 regular season comes to an end, it is officially award season in the New South Athletic Conference. Two Millers took home end of season awards and eight Millers were named to the All-Conference Team.

Head Coach Rocke Musgraves was named the 2025 NSAC Coach of the Year after leading John Melvin University to a regular season championship and the number 1 seed in the conference tournament. The Millers skipper is in his third season leading the program and has an 84-51 record with the Millers. After starting the program in 2023, Coach Musgraves has had a winning record all three seasons, including a 36 win season in 2024.

Senior pitcher Gavin LeBlanc was named the 2025 NSAC Pitcher of the Year after his outstanding season leading the Millers pitching staff. LeBlanc finshed the regular season with a 5-2 record through 63.1 innings, striking out 85 and putting together a 2.84 ERA. LeBlanc's top performances this season include 14 strikeouts through 6 innings against Lighthouse Christian and 16 strikeouts through 9 innings against South Arkansas CC.

Junior catcher Trevor Durr was named First Team All-Conference after hitting .449 on the season with an OPS of 1.297. Durr put together a season of 70 hits, 20 doubles, 6 home runs, and 54 RBI's

Sophomore infielder Braeden Morgan was named First Team All-Conference after hitting .314 with an .906 OPS. Morgan hit 7 triples and scored 29 runs with 18 RBI's

Junior infielder Connor Pleasant was named Second Team All-Conference after hitting .338 with an .937 OPS for the season. Pleasant racked up 53 hits, 16 doubles, and scored 54 runs this season.

Sophomore first basement Sammy Maddox was named Second Team All-Conference after hitting .291 with an OPS of .886 this season. Maddox hit 11 doubles and 4 home runs while driving in 39 runs this year.

Senior outfielder Noah Watkins was named Second Team All-Conference after hitting .291 with an .841 OPS. Watkins hit 7 doubles, drove in 21 runs, scored 35 runs, and stole 8 bases this season.

Sophomore pitcher Garrett Walker was named Second Team All-Conference after going 3-0 through 43.2 innings this season. Walker worked a 4.12 ERA with 42 strikeouts and allowed just a .246 opponent batting average.

Junior pitcher Caleb Ougel was named Second Team All-Conference after goig 6-2 with a 3.75 ERA through 36 innings. Ougel punched out 29 batters and allowed a .244 opponent batting average.
