A difficult four-game losing streak has come to an end as the John Melvin University basketball team has rattled off three straight victories on the road, with the high-powered offense getting back to what it does, culminating in their first 100+ point output in school history!

The Millers got back in the win column with a 97-86 victory over Louisiana Community Christian College in Lafayette. Tayshaun Colomb exploded for 29 points, six boards, and five steals in the winning effort, and Kaimauri Hodges added 22 points and six assists. Matthew Shepard contributed nine big rebounds off the bench.

JMU followed that up with a 96-77 victory over Mississippi Christian College. Deonne Williams Jr led the way in this game with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tayshaun Colomb contributed 15 points and Kyle Roach added 13 points. Matthew Shepard again contributed off the bench with eight points and seven big rebounds.

The Millers found themselves in an instant classic on Saturday night against Omega College Prep. JMU fell behind big to start the game and trailed 56-45 at the half before storming back in the second half to tie the game and force overtime. Kyle Roach hit the game-winning shot as time expired to give the Millers a 111-110 victory in the final game of this road stretch. Joseph Kone led the Millers with a career-high 31 points coming off the bench. Tayshaun Colomb had another big game, picking up 29 points, Richard Casler Jr and Kaimauri Hodges had big games working the backboard as they picked up 10 and 11 rebounds in the game.

The Millers return home to host Rust College, Monday at 6:00 in the MLK Center.
