JMU falls to 0-3 on the young season after falling 46-0 to Millsaps College on the road. The game was not without bright spots, however. The Millers defense stepped up and shut the Majors out in the second half of the game to force a 0-0 tie after halftime.

The Millers split time at quarterback between #5 Joshua Scott and #15 Underhill. Scott finished the game by completing 18/32 passes for 90 yards, while Underhill finished 14/17 passing with an 89.9 QBR for the game. #17 Justin Granados and #30 Carper led the team in receiving this game, with Granados catching 12 passes for 49 yards and Carper catching six passes for 46 yards. The JMU defense came up with two interceptions in the second half of the game with #9 Malachi King and #3 Jeb Decuir each picking one off.
