Crowley, LA - Millers lose a hard-fought series finale 6-0

JMU played hard but things did not go their way in the series finale on Sunday. Troy Morel gave the Millers a strong start on the mound, working 5 innings giving up 1 earned run, and allowing just 1 hit on the day. Freshman Garrett Walker made his college debut for the Millers. Giving the team 3 strong innings in relief, surrendering just 1 hit and striking out 4 while allowing 0 runs. The Millers offense wasn't able to get anything going against a strong performance by the Paris JC pitching staff that pitched a shutout while striking out 14 Millers.

John Melvin will be back in action Saturday on the road against Southwest Mississippi.
