Coach Nick Webre joined the coaching staff at John Melvin University in the fall of 2023. Coach Webre is in his second season coaching at the college level and will serve as the JV Head Coach as well as working with the outfielders and hitters. 

Coach Webre played his senior season at JMU in 2023 where he hit .282 with 4 home runs over 26 games for the Millers. Prior to his time at JMU, Coach Webre had stops at Louisiana State University and LSU-Eunice. Coach Webre was named 2016 Louisiana Mr. Baseball his senior year of high school and signed to play at LSU. Coach Webre made his college debut for the Tigers against Notre Dame as a freshman and picked up his first career hit in the same game. Coach Webre hit his first career home run at home vs Tennessee in his freshman year and finished his freshman campaign hitting .290 over 43 games played. Coach Webre transferred to LSU-Eunice after his time at LSU where he would hit .316 with 2 home runs across 14 games for the Bengals. 

Coach Webre recently completed his second season of professional baseball with the Westside Woolly Mammoths in the United States Professional Baseball League. Coach Webre played in 24 games for the Woolly Mammoths and hit .224 with an on-base percentage of .400 in his first professional season.
